House of Reps Gets Acting Clerk

The management of the National Assembly (NASS) on Monday, December 3, appointed Patrick A Giwa, the deputy clerk (legislature) as the acting clerk of the House of Representatives after the retirement of the Clerk on Sunday, November 25.

The development was contained in a memo signed by Alhaji M A Sani-Omolori, the clerk of the NASS and copied all the principal officers of the House, the members of the two Chambers. ‎Giwa, according to the memo, ” is hereby directed to resume responsibilities as the Ag Clerk, House of Representatives and this appointment is with effect from November 26, 2018 .”

Prior to the new appointment, Giwa was the clerk of the public accounts committee director, (clerk of Committees), director of chamber services, deputy clerk, House of Representatives.
