The Bukola Oyewo Campaign Organization has told the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate for Osogbo Federal Constituency that it will only engage people of the constituency on Issue-based campaign and not calumny.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director of media and public communications of the organization, Akeem Olanipekun and obtained by InsightMedia on Thursday in Osogbo.
Olanipekun stated that the attention of the Bukoy Organization has been drawn to the campaign of calumny engaged by the candidate of the PDP Adebayo Maruf against its Principal, Hon Bukola Oyewo.
The statement reads in part, “Our attention has been drawn to the campaign of calumny engaged in by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in Osogbo Federal Constituency, Adebayo Maruf against our principal, Hon. Bukola Oyewo.
“We wish to state categorically that we are not going to engage in any campaign of such as it is never in the modus oprandi of our party, the All Progressives Congress.
“Ours is a campaign based on issues, integrity and credibility of our candidate and people-oriented dialogue. The tracked record of our principal in private sector and community development is more than enough reasons for the electorates to entrust our candidate with their mandates.
“The people of Osogbo Federal Constituency are wiser and are not ready to be driven backwards to the days of fruitless representation of the PDP”.
Olanipekun urged the people of the constituency to turn deaf ears to whatever the PDP and Gangaria are saying and remain determined to the candidacy of Bukoy.
“As the election draws nearer, we urge the people of the constituency to remain committed to the candidacy of Bukoy and turn deaf ears to the malicious information from PDP and its agency.
