Promises to ensure rapid reconstruction of Osogbo-Ilobu road

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Osogbo Federal Constituency, Olubukola Oyewo has stated that’s among his priorities in the House of Representatives is to ensure solid and robustly working relationships between the legislators and the executive arms of government.

Oyewo stared this on a radio programme on Raypower fm in Osogbo on Wednesday and monitored by our correspondent.

He said the cold relationship between the National Assembly and the APC-led Buhari administration is responsible for the slow pace in the development of our nation.

He said, “As a progressive, it is part of My duties to follow the happenings in the APC-led Buhari administration. I thinking everyone will believe with me that the cold relationship between the executive and the legislative is responsible for the slow pace in the development of our nation.

“Let’s look at the time when 2018 budget was passed and till now, for overseas a monthly that the president has presented the 2019 budget, nothing has been done to it. Our lawmakers are busy with campaigns and neglecting their duties.

“One of my priorities is to work with my colleagues to foster a very robust relationship with the executive which I believe will be constituted by the APC again.”

BUKOY explained that’s he has been in the business of lawmaking for years and his records whichever is dated back to 1984 remains instained till today.

Speaking on his agenda for his constituents, BUKOY said his agenda is drawn from seven critical sectors and all centered on development of the communities that make up the constituency and their people.

The agenda according to him are quality representation, empowerment, affordable and qualitative education, health and welfare, infrastructure and agriculture.

He emphatically pledged to ensure the reconstruction of the Osogbo-Ilobu road and completion of the ongoing bridge project. He described the road as embarrassing adding that he plies it many times a day.
