The senatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Otunba Solomon Ayotunde Babatunde has told the electorates not to exchange their futures for the peanuts to be offered them by politicians.
Babatunde stated this in his final campaign message to the electorates in Thursday in Osogbo.
He expressed that his campaign team which has moved round the ten local governments in the Osun Central senatorial district has equipped people with knowledge, enlightenment and information on benefits of democracy as enshrined in his manifestos.
“As we round off the campaign, I want to urge the electorates to shun temptation to sell their futures in exchange of token to be offered them by money bag politicians.
“We have moved round the ten local governments areas in the Osun Central senatorial district and within this time, we equipped people with the real content of our manifestos and how we will get them implemented with four years of my stay in the Senate.
“I have seen green light and positivity that the electorates will make the right choice of leader now and I’m the best senatorial candidate to represent them”, he said.
“I urge you all to key into our agenda as we look to deliver the best dividend of democracy to your doorsteps. Ours is about you, your future and the future of our children in the district”.
He also admonished the voters to shun any form of violence but guide against electoral malpractices at the polling booths.
“Please shun violence in any form. Election must be peaceful. But ensure you speak out against any electoral malpractices while you’re at the polling booths.” he added.
The SDP candidate admonished the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct free, fair and credible polls in line with the laws governing the process.
