Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu over the deployment of twelve Commissioners of Police to the state.

Ishaku said this on Thursday in his statewide address prior to governorship and state assembly polls on Saturday.

He said, “While commending the Inspector General of Police for deploying a Commissioner of Police each to Wukari, Ibi, Lau, Karim Lamido, Bali, Kurmi, Jalingo, Donga and Sardauna Local Government Areas, the total number of Commissioners of Police deployed to Taraba for this election to 12, I call on President Muhammadu Buhari who is the father of our dear country today, to prevail on security agencies deployed to the State to discharge their constitutional responsibilities without political inclination or favouritism. The security agencies should be told to remain neutral while the people decide on the choice of their leaders.

“It is my hope and prayer that our State will continue to enjoy peace that we all have worked for during and after the elections”.
