The Nigerian Army has named Brig-Gen S Ibrahim from Nigerian Army University Biu, as the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in a new posting that was released on Friday, April 26.
A statement releasing the redeployment and signed by Colonel Sagir Musa, the army spokesman, said Ibrahim will take over from Major-Gen. S Z Kazaure, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
Musa said Kazaure had been deployed to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre as the new senior resource person. Under the new army posting, Brig-Gen. C A Bossman from Nigerian Army Archives was redeployed to Command Schools Services as the new director, Command Schools Services, while Brig-Gen E Angaye was appointed the new acting director of Veterans Affairs Department (Army).
The disclosure was made in a statement by the army spokesman, Colonel Sagir Musa, who said the appointment takes immediate effect.
A part of the statement read: “The Nigerian Army has approved the postings and appointments of some of its senior officers.
“Those affected by this include, Major General SZ Kazaure who has been posted from National Youth Service Corps to Nigerian Army Resource Centre and appointed as Senior Resource Person, Brigadier General CA Bossman from Nigerian Army Archives to Command Schools Services and appointed as Director Command
