Osun Government Promises Enabling Business Environment
It was an assemblage of traditional rulers, community leaders, professionals, youths and journalists in Osogbo on Wednesday, May 1 as National Association of Women Journalists and Best Image Productions and Communications held a media parley between Nigerian Association of Young Adults in Canada (NAYA) and beneficiaries of its numerous humanitarian services.
The according to the President of NAYA, Mr Shola Agboola was necessary in order to sensitise the communities and residents of the coming project and also seek the support in making the projects a reality.
Mr Agboola stated that his organization realized that the level of poverty in the country is alarming and are poised to tackle it through real empowerment.
He also sought the assistance of the monarchs in jumping the bureaucratic bottlenecks that may endanger the Foreign Direct Investment that his organization is bringing to the country.
He also used the medium to display array of humanitarian services his organization has done for the people of Osun, Delta, Gombe, Benue, Imo and other states.
The organization has delivered intervention in education, health, empowerment and water resources. All aimed at elevating the living standard of the people.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the day, Alh Hassan Alao, appreciated the kind gesture of the young Nigerians in Canada.
The community leader added that what the organization is currently doing is rare at this moment.
He said, “I want really commend the NAYA for doing what is rare at this moment. Humanitarian service like this is increasingly becoming a rarity but it’s needed to develop our nation.
Alh Alao promised absolute support to the organization.
Present at the event are Oloba of Oba-Ile, Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Onijabe of Ijabe and others.
NAYA members and delegates from Economic Empowerment Scheme later proceeded to the government house for a discussion with the Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
Represented by his Deputy, Mr Benedict Alabi, the governor warmly welcomed the delegation to the state and promised total support to the organization.
Mr Alabi, who showered commendations on NAYA for the humanitarian services it has embarked upon, described the current administration as the one that will always welcome and give full support to local and foreign investors in the state.
He added that among the cardinal objectives of the current administration is eradication of unemployment and that can only be achieved through creation of enabling environment for private sectors to thrive.
