Osogbo, the Osun State capital early today witnessed pandemonium as two rival gangs clashed and killed one person in the early hours of the day.
The deceased is identified as Biola, an aide to Mr. Sunday Igboho, a popular politician and socialite.
According to a report by Osun.life, Biola was killed opposite Zenith Bank Oke-Fia hours after the two gang clashed at the popular Riverside Lounge in Oke-fia area of Osogbo.
Report from a reliable source said the fight was as a result of leadership tussle between one Dlaw and Asiri Eniba, both who are reportedly loyal to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress.
The source further said, while Asiri Eniba mobilized his men for Governor Gboyega Oyetola from the primary all through the main election, Dlaw was said to have been the one getting the logistics without recourse to the other side.
On why the case was linked to Mr. Sunday Igboho, the source said, Sunday Igboho being a respected leader had made spirited efforts to resolve the leadership tussle between the two factions.
However, Igboho’s leaning towards Dlaw made Asiri Eniba develop ill feelings for him.
While responding to the incident, the Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Folashade Odowo, said the command is not aware of the war that broke out between any gang but admitted that a person whose identity they don’t know as at the time of filing this report was killed as a result of motorcycle accident.
