The Olobu of Ilobu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan, the National Executive Committee of Ilobu-Asake Development Union and the entire sons and daughters of the ancient town have congratulated the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Sulaimon Lasun Yusuff over a successful tenure in the green chambers.
Describing him as illustrious son of the soil, the union in a letter signed by the National President, Dauda Adebisi-Balogun and National Secretary, Dare Alabi commended the erstwhile Deputy Speaker for all sterling performance as Deputy Speaker.
The also showered praises on Lasun for facilitating massive developmental projects into the constituency which according to them is unprecedented in the history of Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo federal constituency.

“The Union wants to put it on record, the highly rewarding and unprecedented quality representation you gave the Osogbo /Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, first as a member, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“We attest to the many laudable projects undertaken or facilitated by you, the poverty alleviation programmes undertaken, the scores of youths whose appointments you facilitated and the numerous lives you touched positively while in the National Assembly.
“IDU is particularly glad to note the unprecedented financial lifeline and the unquantifiable support you offered it in the past few years which have undoubtedly etched your name in annals of Ilobu, Osun and Nigeria as a Great pillar of support.

Lasun Yusuff was first elected into the green chambers of the National Assembly in 2011 and served as the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water resources among other committees he served before he became the Deputy Speaker after winning reelection in 2015.
Statistics shows that he facilitated highest number of projects into his constituency since the creation of the state.
