The ancient town of Erin-Osun in Irepodun South Local Council Development was on Friday agog as family, friends, business partners, associates and we’ll wishers of the Business Mogul, Alhaji Hassan Alao and his wife, Alhaja Eunice Malomo Alao trooped out en mass to celebrate with his as he clinched an historical double titles on the community.
Alao and his wife were installed as the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of Erin-Osun by the Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Adekunle Omoloye Oyagbadun II while the Muslim Community in the town turbaned him as the Aare Musulumi of Erin-Osun land.
The installation which took inside the Erin township hall also witnessed launching of an historical book titled “Erinmoje, the heritage of a great trek” and a documentary titled “Erinmoje, a fusion of culture” by Olusola Ajiboye and Olajumoke Ibrahim respectively.
The two artistic works present the historical background, values and also unravelled the mystery behind the creation of the community and how it has weathered the storm to be at the level it’s today.
Speaking after he was installed as Asiwaju of Erin-Osun, Alao expressed his happiness and promised to continue working towards the progress of Erin-Osun.
He stated that his love for the community informed his decision to site the Elerinmosa Resources Hub in Erin-Osun and the company has attracted over eleven thousands visitors to the community in the last three years of its operation.
He thanked the Alao family, friends and other well wishers for honouring his invitation to the ceremony.
Visitors at the event anchored by Mr Olusola Ajala of You and I studios were the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Lasun Yusuff, Honourable representing Irepodun/Orolu state constituency, Nasirudeen Olateju, Business magnate, Ayo Obilomo, Former Chief Imam of University of Ilorin, Professor AbdulGaniy Oladosu and former commissioner for chieftaincy and local government in Osun State, Barrister Kolapo Alimi.
Popular Apala musician, Musiliu Ishola and his troupe entertained the guests.
