The city of Osogbo, Osun State capital on Thursday evening was thrown into pandemonium and rival gangs were shooting sporadically at major commercial centers of the city.
The shooting started around 7pm in the evening at Oke-Fia and it threw passers-by and motorists into fears as several were scampering for safety.
The shooting lasted for more than twenty minutes at it was also heard at Old Garage, Olaiya and Alekuwodo areas of the city.

Information about casualty was still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
It will be recalled that a fight broke out between rivals group last week and it led to death of one Mr Abiola who was reported to be an aide to popular socialist, Mr Sunday Igboho.
