Men of the Nigerian Police and operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have taken over Wuse 2, Abuja to disperse protesting members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly called Shiites.

The security operatives sent traders and passers-by scampering on Tuesday when they opened fire on the protesters who returned to the streets 24 hours after a bloody clash with the police.

The protesters were seen showing resilience to the efforts put up by the police to disperse them.
