The Osun Online Media Practitioners Association (OOMPA) sensitized the Students of Ataoja High School, Osogbo, the State of Osun on the use of digital skills to advance their education.
The eye-opening event tagged the role of ICT in the 21st education had its first lecture title: “Using Digital Skills To Advance Education and Career.”
The lecture was delivered by the Secretary of the association, Mr Jare Tiamiyu at the spacious Ataoja High School ICT class on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.
Selected students drawn from SS1 and 2 listened with rapt attention to the lecture with their notebooks and pens as they were taken through various stages of social media ranging from the usage of Google to enhance their career and education to the importance of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp to their career and education.
Tiamiyu took them through practical sessions on how to use Google to get answers to all their findings and research.
The second part of the lecture was delivered by Mr Babawale Popoola and it was centered on what Branding is all about, the importance of it and why it is necessary to have a good brand in the business, products, names etc.
The students and the school management expressed their joy over the initiative of OOMPA and charged them to continue the gesture next session.
