Representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) visited Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in Abuja to show support to the senior pastor of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, over the rape allegations levelled against him by celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo.
In a viral video obtainef by InsightMedia online, the CAN representatives said that an attack on COZA pastor is an same on the church and they would not stand by to let that happen.
One of the representatives said: “It is a pleasure being here and we will continue to be with you. We are in support of your church.
“We are in support of your pastor. We stand by him and this church will continue to march forward. I said and declare, the gate of hell shall not prevail against this church”
As one of the CAN representatives spoke, the church members screamed in response as a strong show of support.
“How can we FCT CAN chairmen…hear that one church that God has a plan and purpose for is going through this Jerusalem Jericho road (referring to the allegations), and then we will walk and walk away? We will not do such a thing.”
The second representative said that the church will come out stronger from the present situation it is in.
The representative concluded the show of support session by saying: “I want to let you know you are not alone. You have brothers and sisters praying for you.”
