President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday signed the Nigerian Correctional Service Bill into law.
The Act repeals the Nigerian Prisons Service Act.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, disclosed this to State House correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday.
With the signing, the Nigerian Prisons Service has automatically changed its name to the Nigerian Correctional Service.
