When a nations fails to develop, it becomes opened to a collapse in security and stability. In effect, it loses the foundations upon which its peace and prosperity are built.

Perhaps, it is crystal-clear that, it is only a boxcar development that can fillip a country’s physical infrastructure. By extension, it will delete ignorance, it will create employment and, above all, it will eliminate poverty.

Notably, when a nation neglects and jokes with its teeming youth population, education and economic sectors, and lays a mountainous emphasis on poisonous and puerile politics, such a nation will be gifted with insecurity and underdevelopment amongst other depressing gifts that it will earn itself.

They ran abroad in search of a greener pasture. They got there, and they found solace in advance-fee fraud and some other despicable acts. On their faces are emblazoned the title, “Nigerians”.

Those white men do not know whether one is Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. His skin is dark. His passport is tattooed with the words: “ Federal Republic of Nigeria”. They wouldn’t bother to differentiate along the ethnic or religion lines; rather, they will remark, “ he is a Nigerian, his characters must be questionable”.

Above all, let’s quickly situate ourselves in one of the Yoruba numerous maxims: “ while little rest in the hands of Ijapa, some are resident in the hands of his inlaw”. While we blame the government for not doing more than expected in order to make the country pleasantly pleasing for its citizens to reside, similarly, we should blame those bastards who now use the left hand to describe their fathers’ house.

Amuni buni eran Ibiye. Ibiye fo’loju otun, eran e fo loju Osi. Awon Omo Osan tin ko ponpo ba Iya e. Ewo, bi aba fe re ilu oyinbo ti won wa n fun wa ni conditions notori Iwa abani loruko je ti e wu yi, awa o funyin l’epe nio.

Ijoba njale, awon Omo ilu n lu jibiti! What a time to be a Nigerian! It is execrably dispiriting!
