The entire leadership of commercial motorcycle operators popularly known as Okada riders in Osun state have has pledged their unalloyed support for the government on the collection of daily ticket for the sum of one hundred naira.
The associations which have now unanimously come under a single body tagged ‘ASCOMORUN’, met with the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Osun Internal Revenue Service, Prince Adegbite Ademikanra on Thursday in Osogbo.
Ademikanra appreciated the leaders of commercial motorcycle operators for their understanding and support to the daily ticket collection of one hundred naira which is capable of enhancing Internally Generated
Revenue (IGR) of the State.
According to him, the daily ticket collection would take effect alongside with the introduction of reflective jacket and sticker to each Okada rider in the State with a view to protecting the public against any form of insecurity.
He therefore, assured that with improvement in the IGR position of the State, residents will soon experience greater dividends of democracy from the government of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola.
The group pledged its support and promised to ensure that its members cooperate with the state government.
