It was gathered that late Nofisat was in charge of ‘Point Of Sale’ (POS) in the First Bank branch located in Oja Oba. Reports had gone viral on Thursday that the 30-year-old victim was attacked by armed robbers.
Aminat Ibrahim, one of the relations of Nofisat who confirmed the case to our newsmen on Friday, August 30, said the victim was killed by hired assassins. Aminat said three assassins came with a motorbike and decided to disguised as customers.
She said: “The three guys (assassins) entered the shop where Nofisat transacted with her POS machine at Oke Ogba.
“They pretended as if they wanted to do transactions and immediately they bounced on her and began to strangulate her.
“During that process she managed to escape and they chased her to the point where she was shot at twice and died.”
Aminat further explained that when the killers attacked Nofisat and noticed she had died, they fled immediately from the scene with their bike.
She said: “The killers had to run into the thin air with their bike when they killed her and escaped from the scene. Afe Babalola makes stunning revelation, says DSS not empowered by law to arrest
“So, it was the gun shot that forced those in the area to run for their life thinking it was a robbery incident. “It was not a robbery case because her money was very much intact and the assassins did not steal any thing from the shop.
“And I am aware that Nofisat had earlier been threatened by a popular Akure business woman known as Mama Gold over POS machine. “The woman threatened to deal with her because she did not grants her request for a POS location within the state.”
