Abdallah Morsi, the Youngest son of the the ousted and Late President of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi has died of heart attack on Wednesday night in Cairo, the country’s capital.
Abdallah, 25, was said to have suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while driving, his lawyer, Abdel Moneim Abdel Maqsoud confirmed.
“A friend who was with him was able to stop the car and take him to hospital”, Abdel told AFP, adding that Abdallah Morsi’s funeral was set to take place on Thursday.
The Ministry of Health, Egypt, has not made any official statement on the matter, however, a family source revealed to Anadolu Agency that Abdallah died at Oasis hospital in Giza in the southwest of the capital city where he was rushed to.
His father who was the first democratically elected president of the country and was deposed by the military in 2013 and died in court on June 17, 2019.
