The people of Ilobu in Irepodun local government have praised Governor of the state of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola over the approval to restore and increase the number of wards in the community from six to ten.

The community described the loss of two wards that happened in 1996 as a lost glory that has just been retrieved through the kind gesture of Oyetola.

The National President of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, IDU, Mr Dauda Adebisi-Balogun showered praises on the Governor Oyetola over the development.

The elated Adebisi-Balogun described the governor as fearless and progressive individual who has demonstrated that the development of all and sundry is the major priority of his administration.

He said, “The Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Asiru Olatoye Olaniyan JP, his royal council members and the entire people of the community wish to appreciate the governor for this kind gesture. With what he has done, it is obvious that he’s passionate about the development of all and sundry in the state.

“Ilobu lost two wards in the year 1996 and several efforts have been made to ensure they are restored but all proved abortive. What Oyetola has done is historical and will forever be appreciated.”

The President also extend his appreciation to all sons and daughters of Ilobu who contributed to the development, adding that history will remember them for good.

While calling for the unity among sons and daughters Ilobu, regardless of political or religious affiliation, Adebisi-Balogun called on rumour mongers to desist from using their ungodly activities to cause disunity in the town.

“Ilobu is one, regardless of the side of the division you belong – whether political or religious. I use this medium to call on those who in pursuit of their  selfish interest are promoting divisiveness to desist from doing so as Ilobu remains a one big and united family, ” the community leader concluded.
