The National and State Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Ado-Ekiti has sacked Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial district at the National Assembly and former Minister of State for Works, Prince Adeyeye Clement Adedayo.
Adeyeye, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC was declared winner of the election held on February 23.
The three-man panel declared Mrs. Biodun Olujimi of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as the authentic winner of the senatorial contest.
Mr. Olujimi’s application which ordered for a recount of the ballot papers used for the election was granted by the Tribunal and after the recount, valid cast votes gave victory to Olujimi.
