The people of Okeresi road, along Eledimeji, Ede South local government are currently in joyous mode as they foresee a relief coming their ways following the rehabilitation of their road.
The rehabilitation have divided the people of Ede as some believe that it was ordered by the state government while some have said it was the job of the local.
However, findings by Insight Media revealed that the rehabilitation/repair is being carried out by Alhaji Musa Ismail, the Chief Executive Officer of Musat Multi Ventures limited in his efforts to put smiles on the faces of the residents and motorists plying the road.
Our correspondent gathered that Ismail partnered with the members of National Union of Road Transport Workers in Ede to execute the project.
This is against what some people had earlier reported about the road.
Our source, who is an insider in the execution of the project and doesn’t want his name in prints stated that those who have taken to social media to thank government were politicians who might know nothing about the project or are trying to take the credit through that.
He said, “the road in has been in a deplorable condition for a very long time and has become source of headache for residents and motorists. If not for the benevolent heart of Alhaji Musa Ismail who ordered for its rehabilitation recently
“Whoever says is only trying to take credit for what they did not do. We implore the general public to ignore their plan for cheap popularity. Since the development of the society is not just the job of the government, we implore other well meaning citizens to learn from this singular act which has generated a lot of accolades for the philanthropist, ” he said.
