The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State has sacked the senate representing Delta South, James Manager.

The panel led by Justice O. O. Onyeabo in a unanimous ruling on Saturday alleged that the Senator is a product of massive rigging.

Manager, who contested on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, however, former governor of the state and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Emmanuel Uduaghan dragged him to the tribunal.

Uduaghan’s lawyer, Thomson Okpoko (SAN), told the tribunal that the February 23 National Assembly elections in the district was marred by massive rigging in favour of Manager. His prayer was that the panel should cancel the election and order a fresh election.

In its judgement, tribunal cancelled Manager’s election and ordered for a fresh one within 90 days.
