Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has suffered another defeat at the Court of Appeal as the court threw away his appeal against the judgement of the election petition tribunal.
Ajimobi had approached the appellate court after the election petition tribunal sitting in Ibadan affirmed the victory of Kola Balogun of the People’s Democratic Party as the senator representing Oyo South, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Tribune reports that the panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani on Friday, November 1 dismissed the appeal for lacking in merits.
