After days if closure due to students-teachers clash, the Commissioner for Education in the state of Osun, Folorunso Bamisayemi has ordered the reopening of Baptist Government High School, Gbodofon, Osogbo with immediate effect.
Bamisayemi gave this order on Tuesday during a meeting with parents and teachers of the school.
The Commissioner while appealing to the parents to warn their children to shun all forms of social vices, said the government is not happy with the way the students have co-ordinated themselves.
Bamisayemi said it is obvious that there are cultists amongst the students and a total of number of twenty two pupils have been arrested in connection with the riot that broke out last wee and warned that if such situation repeats itself, the government may shutdown the school completely.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Festus Olajide urged parents to be well behaved as their children look up to them, adding that parents and teachers should work together for peace to reign in the school.
