Comrade Salahudeen Teslim Ayowale has emerged as the President of National Association of Osun State Students, National Headquarters for the 2019/2020 academic year.
Fondly called Speaker, Teslim defeated three other candidates in a keenly contested elections held at NUJ Press Center, Osogbo on Monday.
The former president of Ilobu National Students Union and Speaker, Student Union Government of Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, is currently a part three student of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti state, where he’s studying Theater Arts.
Declaring him the winner, the chairman of NAOSS Electoral Committee in a document sighted by InsightMedia, said Teslim had 34 votes, while Owolabi Adebayo Jamiu who came second polled 26 votes. Kazeem Abduljeleel Akanbi came distant third with a vote while Isa Sherifdeen Opeyemi has zero vote.
Twelve other offices were contested unopposed while the position of Welfare 2 and Public Relations Officer 3 remain vacant.
Teslim, who hails from Ilobu in Central Senatorial District will be will be succeeding Oderinwale Elisha, who comes from the West Senatorial District.
