The Supreme Court has sacked Imo State Governor, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
The Apex Court declared candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Hope Uzodinma as the winner of the governorship elections held in the state on March 9, 2019.
The judgement was delivered by a seven-man panel led by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammed.
In the judgement delivered by justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun that the appeal filed by senator ifeanyi Ararume was dismissed on the ground that the appellant did not prove the allegation that there result.
Declared that vote due to Hope Uzodinma were wrongly excluded shall be added to the result therefore Governor Emeka Ihedioha is not validly elected.
“Therefore hope Uzodinma is the rightful elected governor and certificate of return be given to him.”
