Some youths who appeared frustrated with the lockdown in Lagos State today embarked on a violent protest in Ekeko community, Ibeju Lekki area of the state.

The protests l, which started in the early hours of Monday, turned violent when they have faceoff with some security agents enforcing the lockdown.

Eyewitness told Channels TV that irate youths mounted roadblocks and set up bonfires at different joints and locations leading to some companies including Dangote Refinery.

They accused security men agents enforcing lockdown of bias, stating that they (security officers) were allowing expatriates and foreign Nationals to move freely to their work places while residents were forced to stay at home.

On their part, the police say they have dispersed a group of violent protesters at the Eleko Junction area of the community.

At the moment, there is a heavy security presence, and no one is allowed to walk on the road without raising their hands.

The community, however, looks deserted as residents scampered to their various houses following the deployment of more police and military personnel in the area. (Channels TV) me
