Former Governorship Aspirant, Dr Olayinka Ayinde has described the approval for the Federal College of Education for Iwo by President Muhammadu Buhari has a landmark achievements for every indigene of Iwo land.

Ayinde congratulated the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdurrosheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1, other traditional rulers, the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Adelere Oriolowo and other stakeholders in the development of Iwo land.

He said the approval for siting of the college in the town is a reward for unity and collectivity in the struggle for it.

“The collective struggle spearheaded by our respected Oluwo has really paid off and it shows the strength in unity. If every stakeholder can unanimously pursue an agenda as we did in FCE, Iwo land will in no distant time become an enviable town.

“I want to congratulate Oba Abdurrosheed Adewale Akanbi, all other monarchs in Iwo land, political leaders, religious leaders, all sons and daughters of Iwo for this laudable achievement.

“I also want to extend my appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and every other person involved in the actualization of this dream. Iwo land is appreciative,” he added.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government through a letter signed by the permanent secretary, ministry of education, Mr Sonny Echono had conveyed the approval of President Buhari to site the Federal College of Education in Iwo.
