By now I want to assume that the doubting Thomases in some people who are still of the opinions that COVID-19 is not real have now erased their thoughts due to the daily rise in the statistics of confirmed cases all over the world.

On the 30th day of January 2020, the World Health Organisation declared Corona Virus Disease as a Pandemic as well as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This is not the first neither is it going to be the last history is going to experience.

Strange right? As pessimistic as this might sound, 2020 started like “THE” year for most people especially Nigerians due to the socio-cultural and religious affliations, 2020 possess as a special Palindromic number. A year of multiple weddings, increased babies, more academic acheivements amongst others not until Corona virus disease( COVID 19 )crept into the country leaving her over 180million people to shiver at the sound of it, all thanks to Wuhan City China.

Corona Virus disease according to World Health Organisation (WHO) is an infectious viral disease that is characterised by cough, sneezing, runny nose, diarrhoea, fever and headache. With over two million cases confirmed and recorded globally, Nigeria has over 1900 confirmed cases and counting.

Like every pandemic, there will be a PostCovid Era. This is where we will question alot of things. Are we going to practise social distancing forever? What will happen to life as it were before COVID-19 stormed the world?

Presently, Economic Analysts predicts that there will be an economic recession all over the world. The fear comes from how fast Nigeria as a country is going to recover. Well, as a concerned citizen, I do know our rate of recovery will not be fast like some other countries.

Whatever COVID19 seems to you, be it a punishment from God, an attack from China or a sign that the world is going to end. My little advice is look out for business opportunities, be more relevant in your field, do more research and stay safe. A long recession is looming. How prepared are you for it?
