The former Police Inspector who attacked Ayomide Taiwo, a 20-year-old civilian in Osun, Inspector Ago Egharevba has been remanded in prison.
Egharevba was charged for murder and dragged before an Osun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ibokun and presided over by Mrs B. O. Awosan.
After listening to the police prosecutor, Inspector Oladoye Joshua, the presiding judge said the plea cants be taken as the offence is a capital one.
She remanded the accused in Ilesha correctional facility pending the Director of Public Prosecution’s advice from the Ministry of Justice.
The Magistrate later adjourned the case till October 19, 2020.
Insightmedia has reported how Ayomide Taiwo was attacked by Egharevba and died four days later at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
