Governor of the Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola has partially relaxed the curfew in the state. The curfew will now be from 8pm to 6am everyday.
This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Bola Oyebamiji on Wednesday.
The statement read, ” following the review of the security situation in the State, we’ve decided to relax the 24-hour curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law and order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
“This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law and order across the State.
“I commend citizens and residents of Osun for their understanding and cooperation in the last few days. I urge you all to continue to be peaceful and law abiding. As a government, we will continue to make efforts to protect the lives and property of our people.”
