The Federal Republic of Nigeria has been in commotion for the past few weeks due to the unrest trailing #EndSARS protest across the country and the Lekki Toll gate massacre.
After the massacre, so many properties were vandalised, looted and set ablaze across the country. Despite all that, there’s no issue recorded in Borno State.
President Muhammadu Buhari applaud Borno youths for their decorum in the wake of looting and destruction of private and public properties occasioned by the EndSARS protest.
Alhaji Baba-Shehuri, the Minister of State for Agriculture said the President made the commendation in a goodwill message to a Peace Stakeholders Forum on Wednesday in Maiduguri where Buhari said the youths in Borno State demonstrated high sense of decorum and maturity by not participating in the wanton looting and destruction of public and private property in the name of protest.
He said the president also lauded Gov. Babagana Zulum and other stakeholders for their roles in the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the state.
He also reiterated the commitment of the president to bring peace to the Boko Haram insurgency-ravaged state.
