Leicester City and Nigerian International star, Wilfred Ndidi has stated that Nigerian footballers abroad are always afraid of coming home over alleged harassment and killings by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
Ndidi stated this on Saturday on his official twitter account as he joined the protests.
Ndidi, who plays for Premier League club Leicester City, lamented that many Nigerian youths are being killed by those expected to protect them.
The footballer also decried the arrest of youths putting on hairstyles also worn by footballers.
“#EndSARS for the safety of Nigerians… we are scared to visit home because the people who are meant to protect us are killing us. Looking good with dreads is not a crime,” he tweeted.
