#EndSARS Protesters in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Wednesday defied a 24-hour curfew imposed by the governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and stormed the streets again.

Oyetola in a statement on Tuesday announced commencement of the curfew which started at 11:59pm on Tuesday.

However, youths defied the directives in some major junctions visited by our correspondent in Osogbo, Agunbelewo, and Okinni.

At Osogbo, the popular Ola-Iya junction, protesters converged and barricaded the highway. Protesters also barricaded the Ogo-Oluwa area, some policemen who appeared at the scene were chased off.

Some youth were sighted at Okinni sitting on the Osogbo-Ogbomoso road.

Soldiers addressed protesters in front of the APC secretariat, Ogo-Oluwa, Ola-Iya, and other places that youths gathered to call for calm. They implored the youths to remain calm.

His words: “Future is ours, we the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, it is good that we protest but we must not allow thugs to infiltrate our agitation by destroying properties and others.”
