The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress who was kidnapped late on Saturday, Mr Phillip Shekwo has been found dead. His family confirmed this on Sunday.
The Chairman of Karu local government area of the state, Samuel Akala also confirmed this in a statement he put on his Facebook page.
Shekwo was kidnapped late on Saturday at his residence in Lafia, the state capital.
Nasarawa state Commissioner of Police, Dele Longe confirmed the abduction on Sunday, stating that a manhunt has been launched to rescue him.
