The Osun State Students under the umbrella of National Association of Osun State Students have commenced activities to mark this year’s NAOSS week, a statement by the President, Teslim Salahudeen has confirmed.

InsightMedia gathered that the weeklong programme commenced on Saturday, November 28 with “Walk To Live” exercise from Freedom Park in Osogbo through the Axis of Igbona, terminating the walk at the City Stadium, Osogbo.

It was gathered that upon termination of the movement at the City Stadium, professional excercise instructors from exercise is medicine, took the Students through some rigorous pro-health sporting activities to mark the end of the day.

While addressing newsmen, the Chairman of the 2020 NAOSS WEEK Planning Committee, Babawale Popoola, said “We have commenced the naoss week activities with today’s sport and wellness program, the next lineup is the Academic Contests which will be held on Monday 30th November 2020 at Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo.

“It is also important to make it known that Tuesday, December 01 is our Cultural Day where we will be exhibiting and promoting our cultural heritage and values at Osun State Council of Arts and Culture. Next on our plan is for Wednesday, December 02 where the leadership of NAOSS will be collaborating with medical professionals to offer Free Healthcare services at Orisumbare Market before we proceed for an Excursion on Thursday, December 03.

“Saturday, December 05 will be the grand Finale with an expository event tagged Osun Educational Summit. The Osun Education Summit will bring critical stakeholders together, chart a roadmap for educational advancement and recognize the efforts/input of particular organizations/stakeholders.

“It’s pertinent to reiterate that the 2020 Collectivism Administration of NAOSS under the leadership of Salahudeen Teslim remains committed to students welfarism as the only indigenous students union executive council that ensures that the students enjoys the dividends of democracy in the Unionism arena.”
