The Pioneer Zonal Commander of newly established Zone J Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, ACG Fasiu Adeyinka on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, at the Government House in Osogbo.
The Zonal Commander, ACG Adeyinka stated that the visit was to intimate the Governor with the establishment of the new Zonal Command, with Headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.
He said the command was created by the management of the NSCDC, in order to ensure more effective service delivery from the Corps. He added that the visit was also to seek increased support for the Corps from the Government of the State.

In his reaction, Governor Oyetola acknowledged the importance of the role of the NSCDC in the maintenance of peace in the State, especially with respect to the restoration of law and order in the aftermath of the EndSARS protests.
While promising maximum support of the state, Oyetola also commended the professionalism being displayed by the personnel of the Osun State Command of NSCDC under the leadership of Commandant Abdulkadir Sulu.
In attendance during the visit were the Osun State Commandant of NSCDC, Abdulkadir Sulu; Special Adviser to Oyetola on security, Abiodun Ige; Works Commissioner, Oluremi Omowaiye among others.
