The governing council of the University of Ibadan has approved the appointment of Professor Adebola Ekanola as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution.
The council ratified the appointment today, November 30, at a meeting presided over by its Chairman, Nde Joshua Waklek Mutka.
The Director of Public Communication, Olatunji Oladejo announced this in a statement.
Before his appointment, Professor Ekanola was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) of the institution.
He has also served as Director of Office of International Programmes and also the Dean, Faculty of Arts, among other appointments.
