Sacked National vice-chairman, South-South in the defunct National Working Committee NWC of the party, Hilliard Eta described the National Executive Council meeting as illegal.

Eta was expelled by the NEC presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday for taking the party to Court.

Eta, who was an acting Chairman of the party during the turbulence that preceded dissolution of the Adams Oshiomhole-led NWC, took the party to court over the June 25 NEC meeting.

Reacting to the development, Eta described the NEC presided over by Buhari as illegal, adding that all the decisions made are nullity.

” I am already in Court. The lawyers among them should have told them that they cannot make that pronouncement since I am in Court. Their action is a nullity because it is not even the NEC of the party that met. Their so-called acting National Secretary has no powers to convene NEC”, said Eta.
