In a bid to welcome the New Year 2021 will funfair, Osun State Government has announced that there will be displays of fireworks by midnight in different locations across the state.
The Commissioner for youths and sports, Yemi Lawal made this known in a statement he signed on Thursday.
Lawal said this is to usher the good people of the State into year 2021. This will take the place of the annual countdown event that the State government organizes that won’t hold this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fireworks will go off in Osogbo, Ila-Orangun, Ikirun, Ijebu-Jesa, Ilesa, Ile-Ife, Iwo, Ede, Ejigbo and Ikirun respectively. Event will take place at the Osun State Government House, Ila, Ikirun, Ijebu-Jesha, Ilesha, Ile-Ife,Ede, Ejigbo, Iwo and Ikirun respectively.
The fireworks will be lighted at the Osun State Government House in Osogbo, while the palaces of our Royal Fathers will play host to the lighting in the other towns. This event is to ceremonially usher the citizens of Osun into the year 2021 and to wish them a happy and prosperous year ahead.
