The Osun State Commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Police have intensified efforts to synergize towards achieving better results in their operations in the state.

The new commissioner of Police in Osun State, CP Olawale Olokede and the Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Abdulkadir Alao Sulu made this known on Monday 11th January, 2021, when the former paid a courtesy visit to the latter in Osogbo, the state capital.

Olawale, who emphasized on the need for training and retraining of Officers, frowned at frequent clash among junior Officers of NSCDC and Police Force, saying that if security agencies are involved in violent conflict, it spells doom for national security, he therefore called on senior officers to always talk to their junior officers.

The commissioner lauded NSCDC for the mutual cooperation with the Police and pledged improved and sustained synergy with NSCDC in fighting crimes in the state.

While welcoming the new commissioner of Police to Osun State, the NSCDC boss in the state, Commandant Sulu assured him of the state command’s readiness to complement the Police in combating crimes.

Commandant Sulu stressed further that no agency can do it alone as criminals collaborate in carrying out their operations, therefore, “NSCDC should be seen as a partner with Nigeria Police Force to discharge its statutory duties seamlessly.”

The NSCDC boss, who presented a plaque to the new Commissioner of Police wished him a fruitful stay in Osun State.
