Days after the InsightMedia report on alleged extortion by men of the Nigerian police on peace mission in Ilobu, the police authority has made some repositioning to curb the menace.
Recall that InsightMedia on Friday reported how motorists plying Ilobu-Osogbo road were lamenting extortion by the security officers stationed on Ojutu bridge.
InsightMedia observed that the Divisional Police Officer of Ilobu Division, CSP Seyi Williams has made some repositioning to ensure that officers posted from other divisions are kept in check.
It was also gathered that the police boss has also informed public to report any case of such extortion to his office.
The DPO has warned officers to be professional in the discharge of their duties, stating the the Commissioner of Police in Osun State Command, Olawale Olokode will not be merciful with any officer found wanting of corruption and extortion.
