125 young men and women selected from Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Local Governments of Osun State are currently undergoing serious training on leadership and entrepreneurship in Ede, Osun.
The event, which was facilitated by the lawmaker representing Ede Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam will will see young men and women empowered with knowledge, skills, information, networking and monetary support to start or grow their businesses in the Agricultural sector.
Salam in a Statement earlier said the programme is part of his “little way of building our human capital and turning our vast opportunities to wealth as a people.”
As early as 9am on Thursday, participants had seated at the Country home of Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, the venue of the event, for the training.
Speakers drawn from Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), NIRSAL Microfinance Bank and other agencies are taking the participants through an intensive training sessions.
The programme continues on Friday. Participants are expected to be given grants to start businesses in agriculture sector. Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare is expected to grace the occasion on Friday.
