Member representing Akwanga South constituency in Nasarawa Assembly on the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Samuel Tsebe has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaker Ibrahim Abdullahi disclosed this at plenary on Tuesday.
He said he got a letter to that effect from Tsebe.
The Speaker, while congratulating the defected lawmaker, urged him to remain focused in contributing his quota positively to the development of the party, the state and the country at large.
“I want to disclose to you that I have received the defection letter of Hon Samuel Tsebe of Akwanga South Constituency from PDP to APC.
“This is a new development in APC. He is highly welcomed into our great party, the APC.
“On behalf of the leadership of the House, I wish to congratulate Hon Tsebe over his defection to APC, I want to assure him of equal opportunity in the party,” the Speaker said.
