Zakari Ekelodo who used to be a spare parts trader in Benue State stated he has been left all by himself as his own children deserted him soon after his wife left 30 years ago.
According to him, his wife now resides in the United States and has not heard from her after she left.
During an exclusive interview with Daily Trust, Ekelodo narrated how he has been suffering until help came his way through Muslim Umma. He praises Allah for the miracle of the continuing help and blessings over time.
He recalled how one of his daughter refused to help him after he requested for food items to feed himself.
According to him, his daughter told him that hunger doesn’t kill in response to his request.
He says that his daughter has been in the United States for the past 30 years and has not sent him a dime.
He went further to reveal how he benefited from a report BBC on him some years ago.
According to him, help came to him after his story reached some certain quarters.
