The new commandant for Nigerian Navy School of Health Sciences, Offa, Kwara State, Commodore C.A Opara has paid a courtesy visit to the Management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa.
The visit was borne out of sustainability of already established cordial relationship between the Management of the Polytechnic and Nigerian Navy School of Health Sciences Offa.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr L.A. Olatunji during interaction asserted that the Polytechnic has a cordial working relationship with all the security agencies in Offa which has in turn resulted to the relative peace and tranquility enjoyed in the Polytechnic.

Dr. Olatunji added that the crop of students in the Polytechnic are responsible and peace loving, though students just like our children at home may sometimes manifest negative traits which are curtailed immediately. He noted that the activities of both staff and students have never disrupt the Polytechnic academic calendar, peaceful and conducive living, and that of the host communities.
He therefore assured the new commandant of the Polytechnic maximum cooperation and support as the two institutions will continue to uphold already established relationship.
The Commandant, Commodore Opara in her address lauded the Management of the Polytechnic and adjudged the institution as one of the best institutions of learning in Nigeria where the tenets of learning and character is supreme.
According to her, “Our visit is how to build a continuous collaboration of the existing relationship. Ours is a military school that is regimented and this is a civil school. So we have a lot to learn from this school. I assure you that the already established relationship will not cease to exist as a result of a change of commandant. From what I have seen so far, I adjudge the school as one to be reckoned with.”
Principal officers present were Deputy Rector Administration Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi, Deputy Rector Academics, Arc Tpl Augustine Adama, The Registrar, Mr. Adetunji Oni, The Bursar, Mr. Amidu Azeez, other management staff in attendance were Dean of Students Affairs, Sir. Gbenga Aleminu, Director of Information,Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. Olayinka Iroye, Chief Security Officer, Mr. Moshood Ibrahim and staff of Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
