President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, and national presidents with general secretaries of affiliates are in Kaduna State to ensure full enforcement of the five days warning strike.
The NLC President said on Monday morning each affiliate is expected to mobilize five hundred members to ensure full enforcement in Kaduna State.
He explained that the warning strike will commence by midnight of Sunday to Friday.
Earlier, the Kaduna State Secretary of NLC, Comrade Christiana Bawa, said all is set for the strike today.
She explained that all affiliates of NLC are fully committed to participating in the strike without compulsion.
Comrade Bawa called on the public to remain calm and peaceful throughout the 5 days warning strike for the best interest of all.
The NLC is embarking on a five-day warning strike against the disengagement of over four thousand workers by the Kaduna State Government last April.
Wabba led other union members to the streets to protest. They were armed with banners with different inscriptions all calling on Governor Nasir el-Rufai to rescind his decision and reinstate the affected workers.
