As 2022 governorship election is approaching in the state, endorsements of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s second bid keep increasing with the latest coming from the Aseyori Progressive Forum, a social political group working to strengthen the All Progressives Congress in the grassroots.
The endorsement was done on Tuesday, June 22, during the first anniversary of the organization held at Onibu-Eja area of Ido-Osun in Egbedore South LCDA.
Present at the event majorly populated by youths, grassroots mobilizers and APC Youths, are the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oyetola on OMEALS, Alhaja Fauziya Folakemi Olaniyan; Senior Special Assistant to Oyetola on special duties, Mr Samson Owoyokun; Former lawmaker representing Egbedore State constituency, Abiodun Awolola; Media consultant to APC Chairman, Mr Kola Olabisi; among others.
Speaking at the event, the SSA OMEALS, Folakemi Olaniyan applauded the group for always working for the progress of the APC. She said the achievements of Governor Oyetola in every spheres of lives of Osun people is visible enough for the blinds to see.
Alhaja Olaniyan called on every individuals, groups and politician to que behind Oyetola and ensure the second term bid is successful, stating that it’s the best way for the emancipation of Osun.
“With Oyetola, Osun is going to be better. Mr Governor has surpassed people’s expectations in the last two-and-half years. At this moment, no option to Oyetola. With him, Osun’s emancipation is guaranteed. 4+4 is the only slogan from now till next year July, 16.” Olaniyan said.
Earlier in his welcome address, founder of the group, Olusanjo Fajobi thanked God for the success the Aseyori Progressive Vanguard has recorded in the last one year. He said the team is ready to go into every nook and cranny of the state to preach the gospel of Oyetola 4+4 at the grassroots.
Fajobi said the administration of Oyetola has done wonderfully well in the last two-and-half years and has shown that a second term will take Osun to promise land.
He said, “Mere assessing the health sector, it is obvious that the achievements of Governor Oyetola is overwhelming with over 250 Primary Healthcare Centers have been revitalized across the state in the last two years.
“The state under the leadership of Gov. Oyetola has spent N900m on the fight against COVID-19 since late March – when the state first recorded a case, distribution of food items to 30,000 vulnerable across the state every month and also, feeding of primary schools pupils across the state through Home grown feeding programme (O meals) is an achievement to reckon with.
“In terms of infrastructural development, the administration of Oyetola has constructed over 480.341Km roads comprising Contract-Executed, Direct Labour Execution, Public Private Partnership and Collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Works Road Projects in the state.
In the area of youth engagement, Aseyori Founder said the Youth Policy Document launched recently by the governor will empower and ensure engagement of the youth.
“Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has restated the commitment of his administration to fine-tune the Youth Policy Agenda, in order to guarantee the education, empowerment and emancipation of young ones through policy which dwells on 4E’s, namely Youth Education, Youth Engagement, Youth Empowerment and Youth Entrepreneurship.”
Also speaking were Hon Awolola, Owoyokun and Mrs Deborah Adeniji, the all gave kudos to the Aseyori group for their initiatives. They also highlighted why Osun people should join hands towards reelecting Governor Gboyega Oyetola come July 16, 2022.
Earlier during the day, members of Aseyori Progressive Forum had visited the Primary Healthcare Center at Ofatedo and Ido-Osun to donate some items and drugs for the centers.
Fajobi said the aim is to compliment the effort of Governor Oyetola on quality healthcare delivery for Osun people.
