Former Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Tuesday entered the State after two years of absence.
On his arrival in Osogbo, the state capital, Adeleke declared his intention to contest again in the 2022 guber polls in the State.
The former Osun West Senator was received by thousands of his supporters and PDP faithful, who have gathered from all wards to receive him at the party secretariat.
Addressing his supporters, Adeleke appreciated them for their support in 2018, charging them to be ready for a bigger assignment this year as he declared his readiness to contest again.
He said, “I’m back and I want to appreciate you for your support in 2018. You did wonderfully well. But please be READ for another round of movement. This is going to be bigger than what we had in 2018 as we must oust the APC government in our State.”
In his remark, Chairman of the PDP in the State, Hon Sunday Bisi said the party is proud of Adeleke for the courage and his unflinching efforts towards reinvigorating the party even while in the United States of America.
Bisi said, “We love your courage and we appreciate your disposition as a man of peace. we are convinced that you are a man of divine purpose. Your unflinching effort at reinvigorating the party even while in far away United States of America depicts you as vessel of love, who will spare nothing to emancipate the good people of Osun State.
“We are proud of the attainment of the honours you attained and even more proud of the heart warming recommendations of the college authorities and your course mates. You have demonstrated beyond doubt that where there is a will, there will also be a way.”
“With the additional feat to previous ones in the Social, Economic and Political spheres, you have assured us that you are better positioned to drive the process of growth in our dear State and Nigeria as a whole.”
